Backbeat Privacy Policy

This needs to be fleshed out more, but the gist of the story is this: we respect your privacy. Not in that corporate "we respect your privacy" kind of way that allows us to justify selling your email address to the highest bidder. We actually respect your privacy, and here are some reasons why:

  • We hate when others don't respect our privacy. (Golden Rule and all...)
  • We are very glad you trust us with any personal information that you share with us, and we're not interested in screwing up that trust by turning around and giving or selling that information to people/organizations whom you might not (and probably do not) trust.
  • If we do lose your trust, we will lose you as a fan and contributor to this awesome music site that we're building together, and there's just no pricetag on email addresses that could offset that loss.

There are a bunch more reasons, but those are some pretty important ones. So we're not going to give or sell any of your personal information. And we will do our very best to ensure that it's not stolen either (though there are things you can do to help prevent this as well.)

So, this page will get updated once I can talk to a lawyer or something and we can make sure it's all legal and stuff, but just know that I give my personal word to uphold what this page says.
